Putnam Valley Man Due In Cortlandt Court Over ID Theft Accusation
New York State police allege he stole credit cards from a car and used them for purchases.
CORTLANDT, NY — New York State troopers who were called Sept. 22 to Lent Street in Cortlandt about a larceny from a car ended up arresting a Putnam Valley man.
State police from the Cortlandt barracks charged Jesse C. Ogden, 33, with Identity Theft in the 2nd degree and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th degree, both class E felonies.
They alleged that Ogden stole identification and credit cards left in the vehicle and then made several unauthorized purchases using the identity of the victim.

Ogden was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the town of Cortlandt town court Oct. 19, police said.
