Results In For Hendrick Hudson School District Vote

This year, residents voted by absentee ballot due to the new coronavirus pandemic.

CORTLANDT, NY — Residents in the Hendrick Hudson school district voted to approve the 2020-21 school budget, buy buses and elect school board members.

Residents OK'd the district's proposed $82.1 million spending plan for the school year, a 2.6 percent increase from the current budget. To fund the increase, the district proposed a tax levy up 5.96 percent from the current year's. The tally:

  • YES: 2,274
  • NO: 1,169

A proposition regarding new vehicle purchases passed as well.

Cory Notrica and Alixandra Philbin were unopposed in their runs for the Hendrick Hudson Board of Education. School trustees serve three year terms and are unpaid.

  • Notrica: 2,265
  • Philbin: 2,296
