Roadwork To Close Route 9 Ramp In Peekskill

PEEKSKILL, NY — Roadwork will close the Route 9 exit ramp to Welcher Avenue nightly until the end of July.

The paving project will be done between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. Follow posted detours to the Montrose exit and anticipate possible delays.

Motorists are reminded to move over a lane, if safely possible, or slow down significantly whenever encountering roadside vehicles displaying red, white, blue, amber or green lights, including maintenance and construction vehicles in work zones.

Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
