
More than 25 students, parents, coaches and school administrators were on-hand to celebrate with four Pelham Memorial High School Seniors who signed letters of intent on Wednesday, Nov. 16 to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level.
Three of these athletes, Mae Mullaney, Davis Allen and Gibson Smith will continue compete at the Division 1 level and Michael Kakos will play Division 2 baseball.
Mae Mullaney has signed with Lafayette College (Division 1) to play women’s lacrosse. While at PMHS, Mullaney, a two-sport athlete, also played on the girls’ varsity soccer team while at PMHS. Her lacrosse coach was Danielle Scicutella.

Davis Allen, a three-sport athlete, has signed to play men’s lacrosse at the University of Notre Dame (Division 1). Allen also played for the varsity boys’ soccer team and is on the varsity boys’ basketball team for PMHS.
Gibson Smith, a two-sport athlete, has signed to play men’s lacrosse at Georgetown University (Division 1). Smith also plays on the varsity ice hockey team for PMHS.

Both Smith and Allen were coached in lacrosse by Michael Solazzo.
Michael Kakos will continue his baseball career at Francis Marion University in South Carolina (Division 2). He was coached by Brian Leighton and Jack Plunkett.
"We are incredibly proud of how much our student-athletes have accomplished and wish Davis, Gibby, Mae and Mike the best of luck at the collegiate level,” said Pelham Athletic Director Steve Luciana. “Their success is a testament to the hard work our student-athletes, coaches, Athletic Department and parents put in both on and off the field."
