Crash In Pelham Leads To Drug Bust Of Virginia Man

The accident happened at rush hour.

PELHAM, NY – A crash on I-95 in Pelham at 5:52 p.m Friday led to the arrest of a Virginia resident. State police were dispatched to investigate a property damage accident, and while interviewing the driver, the trooper felt probable cause to search the vehicle and its occupants was established.

Police found about 3.2 grams of marijuana and 24.1 grams of Oxycodone.

Horace Goodlett, 49, of Providence Forge, VA, was taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Tarrytown and subsequently charged with:

  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree; a Class B Felony (with intent to sell)
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree; a Class B Felony (narcotic drug)
  • Unlawful Possession of Marijuana; a Violation
  • Controlled Substance in non-original container; a Violation

On August 4, 2018, Goodlett was arraigned in the Town of Pelham Court and sent to the Westchester County Jail with no bail. Return court date of Aug. 9 was scheduled in the Town of Pelham Court.
