Man Exposed Himself To Student: Police Investigate Report

Pelham school officials warned parents to have students travel in groups with police numbers in their phones.

PELHAM, NY — Police in Pelham are investigating a report from a student Wednesday morning that a man followed her and then exposed himself while she was walking to middle school.

Schools Superintendent Cheryl H. Champ said school administrators immediately contacted both the Pelham and Pelham Manor police departments.

"As this is an active police investigation, we are unable to share any further details," she said. "It goes without saying that this situation is deeply disturbing and we are disgusted that a student was subjected to this kind of behavior. Please know that our school counselors and clinicians are available to assist any student in need.
