Man with 'Multiple' DWIs Faces Another
State police went to help a disabled motorist on I-87 on Sunday.

YONKERS, NY – At 5:20 a.m. Sunday, State Police responded to a report of a disabled vehicle at the Yonkers Toll Plaza on I-87.
Troopers concluded the driver of the vehicle, Omar M. Sheikh, 32, of Yonkers, NY, was intoxicated.
Sheikh was transported and processed at SP Tarrytown, where he refused to submit to a breath test to determine the alcohol content in his system. Additionally, he has multiple prior DWI conviction within the last 10 years, police said.

As a result he was charged with:
- Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated; a Class D Felony
- Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 1st Degree; a Class E Felony
Sheikh was turned over to a sober third party and released after posting $750 station bail on appearance tickets returnable to the City of Yonkers Court on Feb. 17.
