Not Too Late to Support Westchester Polar Plunge Saturday

More than 600 people will be 'freezin for a reason' — to benefit the New York Special Olympics.

Special Olympics New York holds its 8th Annual Westchester Polar Plunge (Freezin’ For A Reason) on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Glen Island Park, New Rochelle, NY.

Registration begins at 10 a.m. and the plunge occurs right at noon.

This Polar Plunge is being held to raise money for the 3,500 Athletes of Special Olympics NY - Hudson Valley Region.

Last year more than 600 brave souls with warm hearts ran, jumped, and dove into the chilly waters of the Long Island Sound to raise funds for the athletes of Special Olympics New York. A record-breaking amount of $96,000 was raised by all participants. This year they're are looking to increase their numbers and blow the goal of raising $99,000 right out of the water!

All funds support Special Olympics New York’s programs and promote awareness of people living with intellectual disabilities in New York.
