NY Scouts Invite Boys to Build an Adventure

Westchester, Rockland and Putnam County Boy Scouts are actively seeking new members for their Scouting programs.

Boy Scouts of America wants you! Now is the time to join the fun and excitement of one of America’s best youth programs for boys—Scouting. During the month of September, the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts will hold local joining nights. You can find your local event by visiting www.beascout.scouting.org and entering your zip code.

Scouting is for boys in the first grade through high school. The program combines outdoor activities, sports, academics, and more. The program teaches honesty, good citizenship, and respect.

Informational meetings will be held where boys will have the opportunity to meet other Scouts and participate in fun games. Parents can learn more about Scouting and how it can benefit their child. Volunteers are available to help answer any questions for new families at joining events.

About Scouting

The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation’s largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness.

For over a century, the BSA has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes — and, through over a century of experience, knows — that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.
