Pelham Election Results 2016: State Senate, Assembly, DA

PELHAM, NY — Registered voters in Pelham chose candidates for president and vice president, United States senator, state Supreme Court Justices and representatives to U.S. Congress, state Senate and state Assembly. In some communities, voters are selecting local elected officials and deciding propositions.
In the election for Westchester County District Attorney, Anthony Scarpino handily defeated Bruce Bendish. With 99 percent of election districts reporting as of 1:31 a.m., Scarpino had received 239,342 votes and Bendish had received 104,912 votes, according to the Westchester County Board of Elections. Results are unofficial until verified.
U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer is the projected winner in his re-election campaign, with 77 percent of the vote, according to unofficial results from the New York State Board of Elections at 9:45 p.m.

In State Senate District 34, which includes the Bronx ,Mount Vernon, Pelham and Pelham Manor. Incumbent Jeff Klein, (D-IND-WEP) had 45,347 votes as of 10:05 p.m., while Aleksander Mici on the Conservative line had 3,090 and Carl Lundgren of the Green Party had 1,,330.
In the 88th Assembly District, State Assemblywoman Amy R. Paulin, a Democrat, led her challenger Anthony J. Decintio Jr., a Conservative, with 69 out of 138 election districts reporting at 11:53 p.m., according to unofficial results from the state Board of Elections. Paulin garnered 22,124 votes to Decintio’s 4,057.

The key to party affiliations: D = Democratic, R = Republican, C = Conservative, WF = Working Families, G = Green, IND = Independence, LBT = Libertarian, WEP = Women’s Equality Party and REF = Reform.

For President of the United States
The candidates for president and vice president are Republicans Donald Trump and Mike Pence, Democrats Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine, Libertarians Gary Johnson and Bill Weld and Green Party Jill Stein and Ajamu Baraka.
For U.S. Senate
New York’s senior Senator Chuck Schumer (D) faces three challengers: Wendy Long (R), Alex Merced (L), and Robin Laverne Wilson (G).
For United States Congress
In District 16, which covers southern Westchester and a bit of the Bronx, incumbent Eliot Engel (D) is being challenged by Derickson Lawrence on the People's Choice Congress line.

For New York State Senate
State Senate District 34 includes the Bronx, Mount Vernon, Pelham and Pelham Manor. Incumbent Jeff Klein, (D-IND-WEP) faces challenges from Aleksander Mici on the Conservative line and Carl Lundgren of the Green Party.
For New York State Assembly
Assembly District 88 is comprised of Eastchester, Scarsdale, Pelham and portions of White Plains and New Rochelle. Incumbent Amy Paulin (D-WF-IND-WEP) is being challenged by Anthony Decintio Jr., C.
Westchester County District Attorney
Democrat Anthony Scarpino and Republican Bruce Bendish are vying to replace interim Westchester County District Attorney James McCarty. He has been holding the job vacated by Janet DiFiore when she was appointed to the New York Court of Appeals by Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
Supreme Court, 9th Judicial District
Three people are running unopposed for three seats: Linda Jamieson, (D-R-WF-IND), Janet Malone (D-R-WF-IND), and Thomas E. Walsh II (D-R-WF-IND).
