Pelham Memorial High School Names Athletes of the Week

From Pelham Memorial High School: Seniors Taylor Hopkins, Michael Gould, Jonathan Reilly and Michael Kakos and sophomores Madelyn Dunbar and Lucy Conway were named PMHS Athletes of the Week. Hopkins, Dunbar and Conway have had standout seasons for the girls’ lacrosse team.

Hopkins, a goalie, notched her 300th career save on May 6 during a game in which she recorded 13 saves. Conway scored five goals in the team’s game against Hendrick Hudson while Dunbar caused 8 turnovers in the team’s game against Harrison.

Gould, playing goalie for the boys’ lacrosse team, has had a great senior season and recorded 10 saves against Arlington, 6 saves against White Plains and 13 saves against Lakeland.

Reilly and Kakos, both members of the baseball team helped their team to victories. Reilly pitched 7.1 innings, allowing just one earned run while picking up a win and Kakos notched 4 hits, including the game-winning home run against Tuckahoe.
