Pelham Memorial High School Students Hold Winter Concert
The Pelham Memorial High School chamber and concert choruses were led by Director Maria Abeshouse.
From Pelham Public Schools: The PMHS chamber and concert choruses led by Director Maria Abeshouse performed their winter concert on Tuesday, Dec. 6.
After beginning with the National Anthem, the Chamber Chorus performed an Irish folk song, “The Gartan Mother’s Lullaby” arranged by Neil Ginsberg, “Sicut Locutus Est” by J.S. Bach, a traditional Hebrew song, “S’Vivon” arranged by B. Bertaux and traditional English and French carols, “Angel Medley” arranged by Francisco Nunez and Jim Papoulis.
On “The Gartan Mother’s Lullaby,” Kiera Mallinson accompanied on flute and Lorivert Cobo on piano.

The Concert Chorus began with Peter Wilhousky’s and Mykola Leontovich’s “Carol of Bells,” and J.S. Bach’s “Sactus in d minor,” with soloists Elise Aronson and Alanah Parker, violinists Rachel Radvany and Adam Abeshouse and pianist Adriana Kartanadi.
Sara Bareilles’ and Ingrid Michaelson’s “Winter Song” was performed by the men’s chorus while “Balleilakka” by A.R. Rahman and arranged Ethan Sperry was performed by the women’s chorus.

Soloists included Jack Finegan, Athena Woodfin and Morgan Jenkins while Melissa Altschiller, Joel Hawthorne and Conor Kagel accompanied on percussion.
The concert closed with G.F. Handel’s “Hallelujah,” featuring John Howard Bissel on bass, Rachel Radvany and Adam Abeshouse on violin and Lorivert Cobo on piano.
