QUEENS — Pelham Pack 1 Cub Scouts got to camp out at the New York Hall of Science.

The scouts experienced many things such as a mirror that makes you look like you are flying, demonstrations of the laws of motion and even watched the movie “Big Hero 6.”

“I liked the activity where you throw different types of balls to measure their distance,” said Daniel O’Keefe, a Cub Scout.

After the Cub Scouts used up all of their energy, they went to their sleeping room. Pack 1 scouts got to sleep in the North Wing. The North Wing was a room that contained things such as giant bubble makers and a small room with an illusion of shrinking walls.

“I liked the sleeping area because there was all these cool science machines in our room,” said Cub Scout William Ohmes.

After a hard sleep with snoring dads and the change to daylight savings time, the lights turned on at 7:00 a.m., which was really 6:00 a.m. Everybody woke right up and got packing.

“I was really tired when I woke up in the morning,” said William.

After the pack up, the scouts either headed home or ate a small breakfast at the cafeteria. Some kids enjoyed exploring the gift shop and all the cool science things sold in it.

The Cub Scouts have also had other camp outs, such as the winter overnight.

“I liked the winter overnight better,” said Jaylin Santiago, a Cub Scout.
