Pelham School Board To Meet Virtually Due To Snowstorm

Due to the forecast for severe weather, the Board of Education meeting scheduled for Wednesday, December 16 will be held virtually. The public meeting will begin at 7:30 pm and can be viewed on YouTube live. Prior to the public meeting, the Board is expected to meet virtually at 6:30 pm and immediately enter into executive session to discuss the employment history of a particular person(s) and items related to collective negotiations.

At the public meeting, Dr. Champ is expected to provide an update on the District’s efforts related to in-person instruction amid the pandemic. Additionally, the Board may review and/or adopt the following policies: 5670 - Records Management (1st reading), 5676 - Privacy and Security for Student Data and Teacher and Principal Data (1st reading, and 3420 - Non-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment in the District (1st reading). These policies will be available for review on BoardDocs as part of the meeting agenda which will be available for viewing 24 hours before the meeting.

In addition to Dr. Champ's Superintendent's report, the agenda may include updates from each School Board committee, Finances and Facilities, and the three goal areas of the Strategic Plan: Cultural Competence, Authentic Learning, and the Whole Child.

Those wishing to make public comment may do so by sending an email to Board of Education President Jessica DeDomenico at jdedomenico@pelhamschools.org by 8:15 pm. We ask that comments be kept brief to the extent possible as they will be read into the public record at the meeting.
