Pelham SEPTA Hosts Mindful Practices Meeting

From Pelham SEPTA: The community is invited to learn about “Mindful Practices in Parenting” at the upcoming Pelham Special Education Parent Teacher Association (SEPTA) meeting on Thursday, April 6 at 7 pm in the Middle School Library.

Susan Varsames, founder of the Holistic Learning Center, will discuss a variety of techniques that parents can practice with their children.

Topics will include:

• Learning to set intentions for you and your child’s present and future
• Using conscious language with your children
• Learning conscious consumerism practices, and
• Learning to mediate and reflect

The Holistic Learning Center aims to support families with their quest for knowledge as it relates to the health, language, motor development, cognition, and social skills necessary for their children to reach maximum potential.
