Pelham Memorial High School’s Sock ‘n’ Buskin Drama Club will proudly present the musical “Working” at four virtual performances April 29-May 2. Nominated for six Tony Awards, including Best Score, “Working” is based on Pulitzer Prize winner Studs Terkel’s 1974 best-selling book of interviews with real-life American workers from all walks of life, including a school teacher, nurse, firefighter, millworker, steelworker and waitress.

Using the actual words from Terkel’s interviews, the musical features the music of Stephen Schwartz “Wicked,” “Godspell,” “Pippin,” Lin-Manuel Miranda “Hamilton” and Grammy-winning songwriter James Taylor, among others, to seamlessly interweave interviews with songs that focus on the everyday hopes, dreams and struggles of the American worker.

Showtimes are April 29, April 30 and May 1 at 7:30pm and May 2 at 2pm. Tickets links may be purchased online. For information, please email snbtix@gmail.com.
