PMHS Varsity Hockey Team Unveil Regional Championship Banners
The team celebrates their ninth Section 1 title, including six of the last eight and three in a row.
From the PMHS Varsity Hockey Team: The PMHS Varsity Hockey Team unveiled its 2015-16 Section 1 and Regional championship banners prior to the Pelicans’ home season opener at Pelham Invitational Tournament on Friday, Dec. 2 at The Ice Hutch.
Two Pelicans, seniors Ben Hurd and Gibson Smith, were presented with their All State Awards from last season. Junior Stefan Miklakos was also awarded All State Honorable Mention.
Competing Friday night against Orchard Park (Section 6, Buffalo Area), the Pelicans won their home opener 4-1. On Saturday, Dec. 3 the Pelicans defeated Shenendehowa (Clifton Park, Section 2) 9-0 to win the tournament.

The PMHS hockey team has won nine Section 1 titles including six of the last eight and three in a row. Last season, the team advanced to the New York State Final Four.
