'Big Brother' Season 20 Cast Features Long Island Native

This year's motley crew of houseguests on Season 20 of the CBS show "Big Brother" features a Long Island native.

Kaitlyn Herman is a 24-year-old life coach. She is originally from Plainview, but now lives in Encino, CA.

Herman is all about "good vibes." She runs blog called "From Betches To Buddhas" and says she will, without hesitation, start to sage a friend or family member until she rids them of bad energy, according to her CBS cast bio.

"Big Brother" contestants are sequestered in a house that is under 24-7 surveillance for more than three months. Herman, depending on how long she will last on the show, will have no privacy during that time; Viewers can even watch her sleep on live feeds. Even the bathroom has a camera that turns on if more than one person enters.

For Herman, she says the hardest part about living inside the "Big Brother" house will be "not having my crystals, essential oils, yoga mat, books, or my journal."

"Big Brother" is a strategic game with mental and physical challenges along the way that could elevate, or lower your "game." The most physically strong competitors rarely win. The last person standing wins $500,000 before taxes.

Last year's winner Josh Martinez was a loud-mouthed crybaby who almost went home week two, but then was deemed a non-threat, or a "floater," to stronger contestants and somehow won the whole thing by being on better terms with the jury (eliminated contestants who determine the winner) than the "mastermind" runner-up Paul Abrahamian.

"Big Brother" premieres Wednesday, June 27 at 8 p.m.
