Bowl for Free in Plainview on National Bowling Day While Helping the Hungry
National Bowling Day is Saturday, Aug. 13.

AMF PlainviewLanes is looking to lead the fight against hunger on National Bowling Day with a daylong celebration that includes free bowling, giveaways and more while helping to feed the hungry.
Bowling enthusiasts can visit the bowling alley on Saturday, Aug. 13 for one free game of bowling per person from 10 a.m. to noon to participate in reaching the goal of knocking down one million pins nationwide to support Feeding America, a network of food banks leading the fight against hunger.
From 8-10 p.m., the bowling alley will provide food and drink specials, as well as giveaways and contests once one million pins are knocked down.

AMF Plainview Lanes, located at 500 Old Bethpage Road, and other participating bowling centers will make a donation to Feeding America that will fund more than half a million meals once the One Million Pin challenge is completed.
One dollar helps provide 11 meals secured by Feeding America on behalf of local member food banks, according to AMF.
