Cinder-Block Heists; Town Work Killed

1. For the second time in a week, someone used a cinder block to break through the glass door of a Hicksville pharmacy and stole a stash of pharmaceuticals.

2. For a short time on Thursday, the Plainview-Old Bethpage Middle School went dark, but the faculty and kids did very well throughout.

3. An Oyster Bay Town worker was struck and killed by an auto this week while working on a sanitation truck in the hamlet of Oyster Bay. 

4. Long Island was shocked on Wednesday by a shooting near the Roosevelt Mall. The suspect is still at large.

5. On Wednesday, Nassau Police arrested a Bethpage man, accusing him of selling heroin from his home.
