Cops: Man Robbed Hicksville Gas Station at Gunpoint
The robbery fits the pattern of similar holdups in Nassau, police say.

Nassau Police say an armed robbery at a Hicksville gas station Sunday evening fits the pattern of similar holdups in the county.
Detectives say that on Sunday, a man, armed with a handgun, entered the Apple Green Gas Station at 118 Newbridge Road at 6:30 p.m. and demanded money from the attendant. The suspect fled on foot, heading west on W. Nicholai Street with an unknown amount of cash.
“As of right now, we are treating [the robbery] as part of the pattern” of a string of similar incidents, a police spokesman told Patch.

The suspect from that incident is described as 6-foot and of slim build. He was dressed in a dark hooded sweatshirt, navy blue sweatpants with a white stripe on legs, gloves, and a black bandana covering his face, police said.
