Driver Shot In Nassau; Shooter At Large

Police said the shooting happened late Monday.

PLAINVIEW, NY — Police are investigating after an SUV driver was shot late Monday in Melville and officers found him in Plainview.

Around 11:30 p.m. Monday, a 28-year-old Peekskill driver was heading west on Route 110 near Round Swamp Road when he was shot in the leg, Suffolk County police told Patch. Police believe the bullet was fired from another vehicle. The driver was taken to Nassau University Medical Center where he was treated and released.
