Enviable Life Ball Raises Over $300K for People with Disabilities
ACLD Foundation's Enviable Life Ball has raised over $302,000 for ACLD and the programs it provides for adults and kids with disabilities.
BETHPAGE, NY; NOVEMBER 13, 2019 – Since recently hosting its annual Enviable Life Ball held at The Garden City Hotel in Garden City, NY, ACLD Foundation has announced a milestone achievement – raising $302,000 for ACLD (Adults and Children with Learning and Developmental Disabilities, Inc.), the non-profit agency headquartered in Bethpage that is devoted to providing opportunities for children and adults with autism, learning and other developmental disabilities to pursue enviable lives, promote independence and foster supportive relationships within the community. Drawing record-setting 325 people to ACLD’s largest event of the year, this year’s Enviable Life Ball honored both New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli and Carl Grady, Director NY Group at Enterprise Fleet Management.
Comptroller DiNapoli received the 2019 Humanitarian Award for his unwavering support of ACLD and his advocacy for the highest standards in special education. Presented by Oyster Bay Town Supervisor and long-time friend Joseph S. Saladino, he spoke highly of DiNapoli’s long tenure serving the people of New York State. His remarks brought home the message of a man who has dedicated his entire adult life to public service and serves as model for fellow elected officials to follow.
Grady was presented with the 2019 Corporate Leadership Award for his efforts in supporting people with special needs. As ACLD Foundation Board of Directors President Alan Spiegel, C.P.A., Esq. stated while introducing Grady, “Carl is the person ACLD has turned to over and over again, ensuring the people we support are safe in their daily travels. Day in and day out, his fleet of vans safely transport our people to ACLD programs. This is a significant responsibility that is fully embraced by Carl and his team.”
