Happy Mother’s Day From Stacie Perrin

"She was there for the birth of my daughters and was a great mom to her own children."

In celebration of Mother's Day on Sunday May 13, we asked Patch readers to write a letter to their mother and let us deliver it. This is Stacie Perrin's letter to her late sister:

On Mother’s Day there are many ways to celebrate moms. Some have brunch, while some give flowers or another token of appreciation. My sister from Massapequa Park has been gone since 2016, but when I think of her, I often think about what a great mom she was.

When I think about many different times in my life story, she was there! When I learned to drive, and I made a right turn onto my neighbor’s lawn (nobody was hurt!), she was there. When I was a kid, she used to play board games with me and take me shopping.

She was always the first one to assist and give logical advice. She was there for the birth of my daughters and was a great mom to her own children. She was selfless, creative, smart and strong!
"Mom" upside down spells "Wow" and wow she was!
