How Warm Will Friday Get On Long Island?
It's finally going to be moderately hot outside. It may also rain.

Long Island is finally getting the spring weather we’ve been waiting for.
Friday is expected to hit a high of 77 degrees, according to The Weather Channel, or a high of 72 degrees if you prefer the National Weather Service.
Before Friday's heat, however, there’s a 20 percent chance of rain before 10 a.m. The NWS says it will then gradually become hotter and sunnier throughout the day.

Saturday will bring mostly sunny skies and a high temperature of 61 degrees.
Sadly, you can't have some sun without the rain. Saturday night has a 40 percent chance of precipitation and it’s probably going to rain all day on Sunday with a high temperature of 46 degrees.

Here’s the upcoming forecast, courtesy of the NWS:
- Thursday night: Mostly cloudy, with a steady temperature around 52. Windy, with a southwest wind 20 to 26 mph, with gusts as high as 36 mph.
- Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers before 10am. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 72. Southwest wind 10 to 16 mph.
- Friday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 51. Southwest wind 15 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.
- Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 61. Southwest wind around 14 mph.
- Saturday night: A 40 percent chance of light rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 42. Southwest wind 9 to 13 mph becoming east after midnight.
- Sunday: A chance of light rain before 2pm, then rain likely after 2pm. Cloudy, with a high near 46. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
- Sunday night: Rain. Low around 44. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent
