Legislator Drucker Encourages Support For Holiday Food Drives

Ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, Nassau County Legislator Arnold W. Drucker (D - Plainview) contributed to an Island Harvest food drive, organized with support from Boy Scout Troop No. 423 and ShopRite owner Jon Greenfield, on Sunday, Nov. 22. In addition to supporting the drive by donating a shopping cart filled with donations, Legislator Drucker dropped off masks and hand sanitizer to ensure that shoppers were well equipped to protect themselves from COVID-19.

“It was truly heartwarming to witness the generosity of so many residents who donated items to help their neighbors in need,” Legislator Drucker said. “As you buy groceries throughout the holiday season, I urge you to think of the thousands of Nassau County families who are experiencing food insecurity - many of whom are families just like yours and mine who have been economically impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.”
