List: Hundreds Of Plainview Businesses Took Out PPP Loans

PLAINVIEW, NY — Nearly 1,000 businesses in Plainview received loans as part of the federal Paycheck Protection Program, which was created to help them continue paying workers amid the pandemic, according to records released Monday.

These records, published by the U.S. Small Business Administration in consultation with the Treasury Department, include details on individual loans doled out as part of the program, commonly known as PPP. The data include businesses that took out loans of more than $150,000 and those that took out loans below that mark.

Loans of more than $150,000 accounted for nearly 75 percent of the loan dollars approved, officials said. This data include business names, addresses, industry and ZIP codes, business type, demographic information, nonprofit categorization, lender name, number of jobs supported and loan amount ranges.

For all loans below $150,000, the federal government did not disclose individual business names and addresses.

Large Loans

In Plainview, 181 loans of at least $150,000 were taken out under the program. No companies took out loans within the highest bracket of $5 million to $10 million, but 10 businesses received loans of between $2 million and $5 million, the second highest range. These companies were A.S.R. Electrical Contracting, ACDS, Bethpage Medical, Combined Resources Interiors, Cox & Company, Ear, Notes & Throat Associates of New York, Jad Transportation, Mid Island Therapy Associates, Ozone Acquisition, and Vaso Corporation. Across these 10 companies, the data indicated a combined 2,061 jobs would be retained with these funds.

Seventeen companies took out loans of between $1 million and $2 million: Acupath Laboratories, American Casting and Manufacturing Corporation, Audio Video Systems, Botto Mechanical Corporation, EasternCCTV (USA), General Security, Hutch Effman, Imobile of CA, Imobile of NY, International Integrated Solutions, Mid Island Y JCC, North Hills Office Services, R J Industries, Recovery Racing III, Supreme Screw Products, The Central Orthopedic Group, and Wallance Eannace Associates. The 17 businesses indicated that a total of 2,075 would be retained.

Another 57 businesses took out loans between $350,000 to $1 million, with a combined 2,765 jobs retained. 97 companies took out loans between $150,000 and $350,000. These businesses indicated a total of 1,881 jobs retained.

Small Loans

Plainview saw 813 loans under $150,000 taken out under the program. These loans ranged from as low as $300 up to $149,400. The median small loan amount was $26,200.
