Two Massapequa men died after they were ejected from a car when it struck a tree in Old Bethpage back in December, police said.

OLD BETPAGE, NY — Nassau County police on Wednesday released the names of two men killed in a car crash last month.

Police said Dermott J. Crowe, 31, and Jordan Caferella, 29, both of Massapequa, were ejected from a 2005 Ford SUV traveling southbound on Round Swamp Road in Old Bethpage after the car left the roadway and struck a tree at about 3:15 a.m. on Dec. 20, 2020.

Both men were pronounced dead by a police medic who responded to the crash, police said. A female passenger, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the rear of the vehicle, was transported to an area hospital for treatment, according to police. The investigation is ongoing.
