Owner Of Gymnastics Facility Sexually Abused Teen Employee: Cops

A 17-year-old girl told police the 60-year-old man "inappropriately touched" her multiple times at the Long Island facility.

OLD BETHPAGE, NY – The owner of a Long Island gymnastics facility "inappropriately touched" a teen employee, Nassau police said Friday.

Zvonimir Bosnjak, 60, is charged with third degree sexual abuse and forcible touching.

On Dec. 16, a 17-year-old girl told police that Bosnjak, the owner of Phoenix Gymnastics in Old Bethpage, had inappropriately touched her multiple times while she was working at the facility, police said.

Starting in December 2019, Bosnjak, of Huntington, "began forcibly touching the victim on her breasts and buttocks," police said.

Bosnjak will be arraigned on misdemeanor charges on Jan. 7.

Detectives are asking anyone who feels they may also be a victim to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS, police said.
