Plainview-Old Bethpage Memorial Day Parade 2017: What You Need To Know

This weekend is Memorial Day weekend -- the unofficial start of summer. That means there will be barbecues, parties and of course, parades.

In Plainview-Old Bethpage, the annual parade will be once again be held this weekend. The annual event will be hosted by the local Chamber of Commerce. In addition to the parade a short service will follow.

Here's what you need to know if you plan on attending the parade:

Date: Monday, May 29

Time: 9:30 a.m.

Starting point: The parade will begin on 700 Old Country Road.

Parade route: The parade will travel down Old Country Road.

Ending point: The parade will end at the Plainview-Old Bethpage Town Park Washington Avenue where a short ceremony will take place.

Cost: Donations are requested.

Weather: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 65. A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after noon.
