Plainview Resident Makes Team Blake On 'The Voice'
A Plainview resident and immigrant from Uzbekistan sung her way into a spot on Blake Shelton's team on The Voice.
PLAINVIEW, NY — A Plainview resident won a spot on The Voice's Team Blake Monday night. Marina Chello, 37, took on her blind audition and won the spot by singing "Walk Me Home," by P!nk in the show's 17th season.
Chello moved to New York with her family at age 11 from Uzbekistan, a press release says, and she began listening to American music to learn the language and experience the culture.
Her single "Sideline" was released on Bad Boy Records.
