Plainview Resident Wins Study Abroad Photo Contest With Stunning Snapshot

One Plainview resident made sure to document her study abroad experience with a gorgeous snapshot of Athens, Greece, which ended up being one of the winning photos in SUNY Oneonta’s 2015 Study Abroad Photo Contest.

Danielle Kessler, who traveled to Greece while studying in the United Kingdom during the fall 2014 semester, was one of four student winners in the photo contest.

Kessler, a senior majoring in mass communications, won first place in the Culture and Society category. Oneonta’s Office of International Education holds a contest every year with two categories:

• Culture and Society, for photos where the focal point of attention is on the customs, objects and historical sites
• Nature, where the focal point of the photo is a landscape or vista.
