Plainview Water District Commissioner Elected LIWC Chairman

Andrew N. Bader has been elected to serve as the organization's new chairman for 2021.

The Long Island Water Conference (LIWC) announced this week that Plainview Water District (PWD) Commissioner Andrew N. Bader has been elected to serve as the organization’s new chairman for 2021.

“I am extremely honored to be entrusted with this position by all of our dedicated members, said LIWC Chairman Andrew N. Bader. “Water is the most vital part of everyday life, and I look forward to continuing to ensure all Long Islanders receive the highest quality water possible.”

Andrew N. Bader has proudly served the Plainview community as Commissioner of the Water District since 2010. Bader has also previously served as Vice Chairman of the LIWC in 2020 and 2nd Vice Chairman in 2019. Additionally, he has served as President of the Nassau Suffolk Water Commissioner’s Association in 2017 and is an active member of the American Water Works Association.

In addition to his decade of water industry experience, Mr. Bader is a Vice President at Mercury Tax Service, Inc. He continues to work tirelessly in his tenure as PWD Commissioner to ensure residents are served by a fiscally responsible water provider, as well as getting the highest quality water both in the present and future. Mr. Bader has served as an educator for over 30 years, teaching economics, U.S. government, and history. He also serves as the First Vice President of the Plainview Jewish Center men’s club and as an advisory board member of JCRC Long Island.
