Plainview Water District Delivers Holiday Cheer to Local Children Through 'Toys for Tots' Donations

The Plainview Water District recently served as an official drop-off location for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve 'Toys for Tots' program.

The Plainview Water District Board of Commissioners Joel R. Kessler, Andrew N. Bader and Marc B. Laykind recently volunteered to be an official drop-off location for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve ‘Toys for Tots’ program. The toy-drive, which concluded on Wednesday, December 16th, received an overwhelming response of donations from local residents and business owners.

The Marine ‘Toys for Tots’ Foundation is a not-for-profit organization authorized by the U.S. Marine Corps and the Department of Defense dedicated to collecting new, unwrapped toys to distribute as gifts to economically disadvantaged children in the community. Now in its 68th year, Toys for Tots provides joy and a message of hope through the gift of a new toy during the Christmas holiday season.
