Those selected as semifinalists for their symposium are invited to present their original research and findings to a panel of judges and an audience of their peers. In addition to recognition and experience, a student’s presentation can win them a coveted scholarship. JSHS works with the research division of the Department of Defense to prepare and support students as they grow into future scientists and engineers.
The Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District prides itself on its ability to provide students with opportunities to showcase their research abilities and encourages students to compete in academic competitions to help them achieve excellence in the STEM field.
