Woman In Critical Condition After Being Struck By Car: PD
A 63-year-old woman was stuck by a car on South Oyster Bay Road in Plainview just after noon Monday.
UPDATE: A 63-year-old woman walking in a parking lot outside Bed Bath & Beyond in Plainview Monday was struck by an SUV and is now in critical condition at a local hospital, Nassau County police stated in a news release.
The woman sustained “serious head trauma,” police said. The woman’s identity has not been released by police. The driver of the SUV was not issued any tickets, according to police. Homicide Squad detectives are continuing to investigate, a standard procedure in Nassau County.

The pedestrian was struck at about 12:02 p.m. by a “passenger vehicle,” a Nassau County police spokesman said. The person, whose injuries are unclear, was transported by Nassau County ambulance to an area hospital, police said.
Police did not indicate any road closures at the time of this report.
