Special 'SEPTA Night Out' Friday at POB Middle School

Annual event is tonight at Plainview Middle School from 7:30 - 10 p.m.

Tonight's annual "SEPTA Night Out" at the P-OB Middle School gym is offering dazzling raffle baskets and other prizes to support the group's special programs and scholarships.

The theme of this year's annual Night Out will be a vendor street fair, where guests (for a $5 donation at the door) can come and shop from various vendors and purchase tickets to win more than 40 raffle baskets, said Patrice Finkelstein, vice president of communications for the Plainview-Old Bethpage Special Education PTA.

The event begins in the gym at 7:30 p.m. Friday and runs until 10 p.m.

In addition, each year SEPTA honors someone who has made a significant contribution to our students with a Septee Award. This year's recipient is a member of our central administration staff and former special education teacher in the district, Frank Carbone.

SEPTA is a group of parents with interests for the advancement and well being of the children in our district, especially those who receive services for their physical, emotional and/or educational learning difficulties.
