SUV Catches Fire On Long Island Expressway: PHOTOS

PLAINVIEW, NY — An SUV caught fire Wednesday night on the Long Island Expressway in Plainview.

The Plainview Fire Department was called around 7:45 p.m. Wednesday along with a dual response engine company with the Syosset Volunteer Fire Department to the eastbound lanes of the expressway.

Firefighters arrived to a Chevrolet Trailblazer ablaze near the near Sunnyside Boulevard exit. Syosset Engine 585 extinguished the fire with the help of Plainview crews. No one was hurt.
