Former Long Island resident and folksinger-songwriter Tom Paxton headlines this year’s festival. Paxton is known for such songs as “The Last Thing On My Mind,” “Bottle of Wine,” “Whose Garden Was This” and “Ramblin’ Boy.”

Paxton, a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, plans to retire from the road this summer after more than a half-century as a touring artist.

Paxton hits the Chapin Rainbow Stage at 8:30 p.m.

No Fuss and Feathers Roadshow will open for Paxton. The group features nationally touring New York area-based singer-songwriters The YaYas (Jay Mafale and Catherine Miles), Carolann Solebello and Karyn Oliver.

AcousticMusicScene.com and FMSH will host unplugged showcases and song swaps on the lawn featuring artists from half a dozen states leading up to Paxton’s performance.
