2 Men Ejected From SUV, Killed In Old Bethpage Crash: Police

Two men were killed and a woman injured when the SUV they were riding in crashed into a tree in Old Bethpage.

OLD BETHPAGE, NY — Two men were killed when the car they were riding in crashed into a tree and they were ejected from the vehicle on Old Swamp Road in Old Bethpage early Tuesday, Nassau County police said.

Detectives said the men, a 29-and-31-year-old, were traveling southbound in a 2005 Ford SUV on Round Swamp Road left the roadway and struck a tree at about 3:15 a.m. Upon police arrival, officers found the men had been ejected from the SUV. Both were pronounced dead at the scene by a police medic. The names of the men have not been released.

A female passenger was "located in the rear of the vehicle with non-life threatening injuries," police said in a news release. Her name has also has not been released.

The woman was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The investigation is ongoing.

It's unclear why it took three days for Nassau police to release details on the crash.
