Virtual Event: 'The HPV Vaccine: What You Need To Know'

Nassau County Legislator Arnold W. Drucker (D - Plainview) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) New York Chapter 2 are partnering to host “The HPV Vaccine: What You Need to Know.”

This guided virtual discussion for children and families will be facilitated by Dr. Michelle Hoffman, MD, FAAP. Dr. Hoffman is a Pediatric Infectious Disease Specialist based in Naples, Fla. and is affiliated with medical facilities such as Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida and Cape Coral Hospital.

Dr. Hoffman joins Legislator Drucker and AAP Chapter 2 via the national organization’s Visiting Expert Initiative, which connects experts in certain subject areas across the country.

“Experts at the Centers for Disease Control recognize HPV vaccination as a highly effective aid in efforts to prevent cancer-causing infections and precancers later in life,” Legislator Drucker said. “I look forward to an informative and thorough evening with Dr. Hoffman and our partners at American Academy of Pediatrics New York Chapter 2 and invite you to join us for this important conversation.”
