Woodward Parkway Students Hold Pajama-Themed Reading Event
Parents, teachers and students take part in event to encourage reading skills.
Farmingdale School District teachers and parents recently hosted "Family Read-In Night" at the Woodward Parkway Elementary School.
More than 100 students and their families as well as 30 staff members dressed in their pajamas and participated in a series of interactive reading activities. The event also encouraged students and their parents to read at home.
The evening concluded with a reading-themed raffle sponsored by the District’s Parent-Teacher Association, which included a variety of children’s books.
