Zorn’s of Bethpage to Undergo Store Transformation

Over 65 jobs will be saved and the Zorn's family asks community to share memories of family traditions.

BETHPAGE, NY; March 20, 2018 – Merrill S. Zorn, President/CEO of Zorn’s of Bethpage, announced today that the iconic original location of her family’s store, located at 4321 Hempstead Turnpike, Bethpage, NY, will be undergoing a major transformation in the coming months. A brand new store and facility will be constructed on the western side of the current property.

“This is an exciting time for us and the entire Zorn’s of Bethpage Family,” said Ms. Zorn. “This is the beginning of the next chapter in our family’s historic legacy on Long Island. What is most important to me is that we are keeping the entire Zorn’s of Bethpage Family together. All of our employees will transition with us to the new operation. This will ensure the consistency and quality our customers have come to know and love. I am continuing my grandfather’s commitment to the people who we work with every day.”

The store will remain in operation during the construction of the new building and Zorn’s of Bethpage will continue to provide high-quality meals and customer service that Long Islanders have come to enjoy and expect for the past eight decades.

Zorn’s of Bethpage is Long Island’s favorite take out destination. Making great home-made food since 1940, the core quality of Zorn’s remains intact. In 1940, Peter Zorn opened his first retail store on Long Island. His vision was to offer wholesome, oven-ready meals using the freshest ingredients that busy families could take home with them, creating one of New York’s first take-out services. Zorn’s is renowned on Long Island for its all-natural poultry fresh from farm to kitchen. Now over seven decades and four generations later, Zorn's is still family owned and operated and utilizes the same recipes and cooking methods used by its founder. These are the same traditions, recipes and cooking methods that still maintain Zorn’s high quality and consistency.
