Affordable Housing Lottery For 2 Pleasantville Apartments

PLEASANTVILLE, NY — A lottery for two affordable-rent apartments at 39 Washington Ave. in Pleasantville will run until Feb. 11. The building has 23 studio, 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartments.

The rent and income guidelines for the two affordable units:

• Studio: $1,093 monthly rent. Maximum household income: 1 person - $50,550, 2 person - $57,750
• One Bedroom: $1,226 monthly. Maximum household income: 1 person - $50,550, 2 person - $57,750, 3 person - $65,00

Less than In 2009, Westchester County officials entered into a stipulation and order with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, to increase its efforts to affirmatively further fair and affordable housing. Among other things, the agreement required Westchester build 750 units of affordable housing in 31 of the County’s least diverse communities. The settlement also asked that the County develop a robust campaign to promote diversity and support for affordable housing, and undertake an Analysis of Impediments to fair housing choice.

Building amenities include virtual doorman, package delivery system, keyless entry door system, one parking space, media and billiards room, and gym. It's a short walk to Metro-North Railroad's Pleasantville Station on the Harlem Line.

Deadline to submit an application to the Housing Action Council is Feb. 11.
