Woman Hit In Daylight Drive-By Shooting In Crown Heights: Cops

A 20-year-old woman sitting in her car was shot when a man fired out of his sun roof in broad daylight on Wednesday, police said.

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A 20-year-old woman sitting in her car was shot on Wednesday during a daylight drive-by shooting in Crown Heights, police said.

The woman was sitting in her car on St. Johns Place around 4:45 p.m. when a man in a black Audi sedan leaned out of the car's sun roof and opened fire, and then drove away, police said.

The woman, parked near Rochester Avenue, was shot in the left leg, police said.

She was taken to the hospital in stable condition. Police did not say whether it is believed the woman was the intended target of the shooting.
