The Caton Flats development, which has been under construction for two years, is set to include a new space for Flatbush Caton Markets, an office for The Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce and Industry and 10,000 square feet of retail space, according to officials.

The Flatbush Caton Markets, founded in 2000 by the first Caribbean-born woman elected to the city’s legislature, has been running from a secondary location on Clarendon Road since construction on the new development began. The market hosts more than 40 merchants.

The Caton Flats development includes an outdoor terrace, courtyard fitness center, outdoor yoga area, resident lounge, bike storage, onsite attended parking and other amenities.
