32-Year-Old Woman Shot Dead On Park Place In Brooklyn: Cops

BROOKLYN, NY — A 32-year-old Queens woman was found fatally shot on the Crown Heights border on Monday, according to police.

Shalimar Birkett, who lived in Far Rockaway, was found shot in the head just after 11 p.m. on Park Place near Howard Avenue, police said. She was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

There were no arrests as of Tuesday morning, police said.
