49-Year-Old Killed By Van In Brooklyn Hit-And-Run: Cops

The man was found unconscious at an intersection in East Flatbush, according to police.

BROOKLYN, NY — A 49-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run in East Flatbush on Thursday morning, according to police.

The man was walking in the crosswalk at Kings Highway and Remsen Avenue around 11 a.m. when a white van hit him and then drove away, police said.

Cops found the man unconscious and unresponsive with trauma to his head and body, police said.

He was rushed to Brookdale Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

There were no arrests as of Friday morning.

The crash is one of nearly a dozen fatal collisions in Brooklyn in the last few months.

Most recently, a grandmother was hit by an SUV near her home. Also in the last month, in Flatbush, a pedestrian and a cyclist were killed in two crashes just hours apart.
