1. Have a FABulous Friday. Come out to Fulton Street for FAB Friday at the Putnam Triangle Plaza (Cross St. Grand Avenue) from 4-8 p.m. But before those festivities begin, participate in the The Uni Project from 2:30-7:30 p.m., a pop-up reading room with children's picture books for browsing and a variety of activities such as making origami and reading aloud by volunteers. From 4-6 p.m., enjoy free games and arts & crafts activities for Kids with NY Cares Volunteers Plus, as well as a sidewalk chalk art project with Children's Book Author Elisha Cooper-in partnership with Greenlight Bookstore.
2. Rock on. Tonight at Branded Saloon there's Big Apple Rocks Presents, an evening of rock with six bands. Show begins at 7 p.m. 603 Vanderbilt at Bergen. No cover.
3. Sing a song. Come partake in a sing-along (and bring the kids) today at 10:30 a.m. at Dean Street, located at 755 Dean St. The sing-a-long will be led by Mike Messer, lead singer of the Dirty Sock Funtime Band of Nick Jr. fame. $5/family.
4. See a show. The Irondale presents "Choreographer's Voice," the work of the late performer and choreographer Niles Ford featuring the Urban Dance Collective at 8 p.m. $25.
5. Move your car. Alternate side parking is in full effect today. The next suspension will be Wednesday, May 15 for Shavuot.
