Arrests Made After Bergen Street Shooting

Two in custody after weekend incidents.

Police in Crown Heights Sunday announced the arrest of two men in connection with a police shooting over the weekend.

On Saturday morning, a police officer guarding a van containing evidence fired on and shot a 17-year-old who was trying to steal a revolver. 

The shot suspect, who was taken under guard to a Brooklyn Hospital, was arrested along with one other teenager. 

Both suspects, Geremy Botor, 17 and Kevin Johnson, 17, were arrested. 

Botor was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, assault, grand larceny and obstructing government administration.

Johnson, who was shot in the left buttock by the officer was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, obstructing government administration, grand larceny and prohibited use of a weapon. 

He was also charged with assault in an incident that occurred around midnight Friday night, during which a victim was grazed in the head by a bullet.
